DAY 1. ARRIVAL AT KIGALI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. 01/10/2026

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Tanzanian guide in the arrivals area. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred in comfort to Kigali Serena Hotel. Your guide will assist with check-in and ensure you are settled in for a relaxing first night in Rwanda

DAY 2. KIGALI TO RUHENGERI (VOLCANOES MOUNTAINS). 02/10/2026

After breakfast, your guide will meet you for a curated city tour of Kigali. Your morning includes a meaningful visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, followed by a panoramic drive through the city’s vibrant districts, artisan markets, and cultural landmarks. At midday, enjoy a hosted lunch at the historic Hotel des Mille Collines—famously known as Hotel Rwanda. This iconic property offers a reflective atmosphere and a beautiful setting to pause before your journey north. After lunch, continue with a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills toward Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and unwind in the tranquil forest surroundings as you prepare for
tomorrow’s unforgettable gorilla trekking experience.

DAY 3. TO VOLCANOS NATIONAL PARK GORILLA TREKKING. 03/10/2026

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. Once groups are assigned, you will begin your trek into the lush rainforest in search of the magnificent mountain gorillas. The hike can range from gentle to moderately challenging depending
on the location of the family that day, but the reward is extraordinary. Spending time with a gorilla family in their natural habitat is one of Africa’s most profound wildlife encounters. You will observe their behavior, interactions, and quiet power as the rangers share insights about their conservation and social
structure. After your one-hour gorilla encounter, return to the trailhead and transfer back to The Bishop’s House for a hot lunch and time to relax. The afternoon is at leisure—enjoy the serene gardens, unwind with a massage (optional), or simply reflect on the day’s unforgettable experience.

DAY 4. KIGALI AIRPORT TO NORTHERN SERENGETI. 04/10/2026

After breakfast, depart The Bishop’s House and enjoy a scenic drive back to Kigali. Your guide will accompany you to Kigali International Airport, assisting with check-in formalities for your private charter flight to the Northern Serengeti. As you soar over the landscapes of Rwanda and Tanzania, enjoy breathtaking aerial views before descending into the heart of the Serengeti—one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife regions. Upon arrival, you will be met on the airstrip by your Tanzanian safari guide and transferred to Kuria Hills Lodge, a luxurious retreat perfectly positioned for exceptional game viewing.
Settle into your elegant tented suite and take in sweeping views of the rolling hills and savannah. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for a relaxed evening under the stars.

DAY 5. FULL DAY AT NOTHERN SERENGETI (MARA RIVER) 05/10/2026

Today you will enjoy a full-day game drive dedicated to witnessing one of nature’s greatest spectacles — the Great Migration. After an early breakfast, set out with your expert guide to explore the Mara River region, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra gather during this season. Your day will follow the rhythm of the herds. Depending on their movements, you may witness dramatic river crossings, where wildebeest plunge into crocodile-filled waters in a powerful display of instinct and survival. Predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas often linger nearby, creating some of the most intense wildlife interactions on the continent.

A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic viewpoint, allowing you to stay close to the action throughout the day. Continue exploring the rolling plains and riverbanks in the afternoon, capturing
unforgettable moments as the migration unfolds around you. Return to Kuria Hills Lodge in the early evening to relax, refresh, and enjoy a beautifully prepared dinner overlooking the Serengeti wilderness.

DAY 6. FULL DAY AT NOTHERN SERENGETI (Mara River) 06/10/2026

Begin your day with an early morning game drive, heading out as the plains come alive with wildlife activity. This is an excellent time to follow the movements of the Great Migration herds and observe predators taking advantage of the cooler hours. Return to Kuria Hills Lodge for a hot lunch and time to relax, enjoy the views, or unwind in your suite. In the late afternoon, venture out again for an evening game drive. As the sun begins to set, the Serengeti transforms into a golden landscape, and many animals
become more active, offering superb photographic opportunities and memorable sightings.

DAY 7. DAY AT NOTHERN SERENGETI (Mara River) 07/10/2026

Begin the morning with your preferred activity: – Hot-Air Balloon Safari (Optional) Before sunrise, transfer to the launch site for a breathtaking balloon flight over the erengeti. As the sun rises, glide above the plains and migration herds, followed by a celebratory bush breakfast before continuing with a short
mid-morning game drive back to the lodge. – Morning Game Drive: If you choose not to fly, enjoy a relaxed morning game drive, following the migration herds and exploring new areas of the Northern Serengeti. Return to Kuria Hills Lodge for a hot lunch and a restful afternoon. Enjoy time to relax, take in the views, or begin organizing and packing for tomorrow’s journey to the Central Serengeti.

DAY 8. NOTHERN SERENGETI TO CENTRAL SERENGETI. 08/10/2026

After breakfast, begin your unhurried drive from the Northern Serengeti toward the Central Serengeti, enjoying game viewing along the way as you transition into the heart of the park. This region, known as Seronera, is rich in resident wildlife and offers some of the best year-round sightings in Tanzania. Arrive at
Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in time for a late lunch. Settle into your luxurious room or suite, then spend the afternoon enjoying the lodge’s exceptional facilities. Relax by the iconic infinity pool overlooking the active watering hole, where elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife often gather. As the day cools, enjoy a serene sundowner by the pool, taking in the sweeping views and the warm glow of the Serengeti sunset.

DAY 10. FULL DAY AT CENTRAL SERENGETI. 10/10/2026

Begin the day with an early morning game drive through the Central Serengeti, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. This area is known for its resident big cats, large elephant herds, and sweeping plains that offer excellent visibility for sightings. Your guide will explore the valleys and river lines around retima and kubukubu hills, giving you rich opportunities to observe predators and plains game as the day begins. Return to Four Seasons Safari Lodge  erengeti for a hot lunch and time to relax.


Enjoy the comfort of the lodge, the views over the watering hole, or a refreshing dip in the infinity pool before heading out again. In the late afternoon, venture out for an evening game drive focused around the kopjes near the lodge. These ancient granite outcrops are prime territory for lions, who often rest on the warm rocks, and leopards, who may be spotted draped across the branches of nearby acacia trees. The golden light of sunset makes this one of the most atmospheric and rewarding drives of the day.

DAY 11. SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER. 11/10/2026

Depart Four Seasons Safari Lodge after breakfast and begin your scenic cross-country drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This is one of the most culturally and geologically rich routes in northern Tanzania, offering a blend of history, landscapes, and authentic cultural encounters. Your first stop is the remarkable Shifting Sands, a crescent-shaped dune composed of volcanic ash from the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. This dune slowly moves across the plains with the prevailing winds, creating a fascinating natural phenomenon unique to this region.

Continue to Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Here, you will explore the small but insightful museum and learn about the groundbreaking discoveries made by Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey, which revealed early human origins dating back millions of years. DAY 12. FULL DAY AT NGORONGORO CRATER. 12/10/2026

After an early breakfast, descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries. The crater floor is home to an extraordinary concentration of animals, including large prides of lions, impressive bull elephants, black rhinos, hyenas, buffalo, and abundant plains game. With its permanent water sources and varied habitats, the crater offers exceptional game viewing throughout the day. Spend the morning exploring the diverse landscapes, from open grasslands to acacia forests and the hippo-filled wetlands. Your guide will navigate the best wildlife areas, ensuring unhurried time at sightings and sharing insights into the crater’s ecology and history.

At midday, enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the scenic Ngoitoktok Picnic Site, overlooking a hippo pool and surrounded by the
dramatic crater walls. After lunch, continue your game drive through the afternoon, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife becomes more active again. Ascend the crater rim in the late afternoon and return to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge to unwind and enjoy dinner with sweeping views over this

DAY 13. NGORONGORO TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK. 13/10/2026

Depart Ngorongoro Serena after breakfast and begin your journey toward Tarangire National Park. As you descend from the highlands, the landscape opens into the vibrant farming community of Mto wa Mbu, one of Tanzania’s most culturally diverse villages. At Mto wa Mbu enjoy a guided cultural walk through the village, visiting local farms, rice filed, bustling markets and banana plantations. This experience offers an authentic look into daily life and the traditions of the many tribes who call this area home. Stop for a warm, home-cooked lunch prepared by a local women’s cooperative.

This is a meaningful cultural exchange, with delicious traditional dishes served in a welcoming, community setting. After lunch, continue your drive toward Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and rich wildlife. Arrive at Mpingo Ridge Lodge in the late afternoon or early evening. Settle into your beautifully elevated suite, enjoy sweeping views over the Tarangire valley, and relax before dinner

DAY 14. FULL DAY AT TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK. 14/10/2026

Begin the morning with an early departure into Tarangire National Park, heading toward the remote and wildlife-rich Silale Swamp region. This area is one of Tarangire’s most productive ecosystems, drawing large herds of elephants, buffalo, zebra, and a variety of predators that come to drink and hunt along the swamp’s edges. Spend the day exploring the surrounding woodlands, river valleys, and open plains, enjoying unhurried time at sightings as your guide follows wildlife movements across this diverse landscape. Enjoy your packed lunch at a scenic picnic spot overlooking the swamp, where elephants often gather and birdlife is abundant.

This peaceful setting offers a perfect midday break surrounded by nature. Continue your game drive and late afternoon drive back to the lodge. In the evening, gather with your guides for a warm and memorable farewell dinner, celebrating your time together and the incredible wildlife moments shared throughout your safari.

DAY 15. TARANGIRE TO ARUSHA TO KILIMANJARO AIRPORT. 15/10/2026

Leave Mpingo Ridge Lodge after breakfast and begin your drive toward Arusha, enjoying the changing landscapes as you exit Tarangire National Park. Your first stop is the Cultural Heritage Centre, a beautiful complex showcasing Tanzanian art, gemstones, carvings, and high-quality crafts. This is an excellent place for guests to shop for curated souvenirs and artwork. Continue to a resident home in Arusha for a warm, home-cooked lunch.

This personal experience offers a relaxed atmosphere and a taste of authentic Tanzanian hospitality before the group separates for day room. You will be picked up at 5 pm for transfer to Kilimanjaro International airport for check-in your flight back home

  1. CLOTHES
    • Very light, flexible waterproof walking shoes with good tread (preferably worn in a little).
    • Correct socks to go with these shoes. 2 pairs since one may be wet/muddy after first climb.
    • Light Gortex rain proof jacket with hood/pants in green or beige
    • Long pants. Comfortable bramble proof pants.
    • Long Sleeved T shirts or comfortable long sleeved Chamois/bramble shirt.
    • A Pair of work duty gloves are essential. (You may be crawling on your hands and knees).
    • Gaters, if you have them. These cover the bottom of your pants and top of boots, hooking
      into your laces to prevent water/mud seeping into your boots from the top.
    • Note: Rain jackets, gloves and garters are available to borrow from the lodge. The rain gear
      may not be very fashionable, but it is functional and will keep you from having to bring those items in your luggage if you don’t mind using pre-used items of external clothing.
  2. CAMERA EQUIPMENT
    • Small, foldable and waterproof day pack for camera, lenses and water bottle.
    • Camera/Film
    • NO AUTO FLASH CAMERAS OR FLASH USE PERMITTED AT ALL IN PRESENCE OF GORILLAS.
    • You might even consider having two camera bodies to avoid switching film type as the conditions change.
    • Zip lock bag or waterproof cover for camera.
    • iPhone also works well.
    • All packs will be left on the ground with a guard when we actually make the final approach to
      be with the gorillas when we find them so be sure to be able to keep passports and essential
      documents in zip lock in a zipped pocket on your person
  1. FIRST AID KIT
    • For anyone with motion sickness issues, bring whatever it is you use to combat this.
    • Bring some ointment to administer to stinging nettle skin burns. Similar to poison ivy.
    • We will be flying a small plane for a couple of hours. Not everyone in the group needs to
      bring all these items; just enough to cater to anyone with need.
    • DO NOT-Wear bright clothes
